North Scottsdale High Desert
This part of Scottsdale is the northern most part of the town and continues south to Pinnacle Peak Road. It is, as the name implies, the portion of Scottsdale that is home to most of its desert lands of Scottsdale. The Scottsdale Planning Department has gone a long way to preserve a lot of open space with most homesites requiring NAOS which stands for natural area open space. It is higher in elevation and with that it experiences Summertime temperatures that are around five to ten degrees cooler than the valley. The high desert of North Scottsdale is characterized by peaceful serenity. It is home to many of the higher priced Scottsdale luxury homes as well as many of the finest golf courses around.

North Scottsdale
North Scottsdale continues south from Pinnacle Peak rd and continues south to Thunderbird Rd. This is the livelier part of North Scottsdale. It is characterized by the abundant shopping and dining. Real estate here varies from older older urban residential neighborhoods th luxury mid-rise condos to the ultra luxury homes of Silverleaf.
Central Scottsdale
Central Scottsdale extents South from Thunderbird Rd to Indian School and is West of the 101 Loop. Central Scottsdale real estate is characterized by a more established feel with most homes having been built before 1980. Central Scottsdale bridges the gap between Downtown Scottsdale and the Shopping of North Scottsdale

Shea Corridor
The Shea Corridor of Scottsdale also has Thunderbird Rd as a northern boundary but is on the east side of the 101 Loop and continues south to the border of the Salt River Indian Community. The Shea corridor real estate could be characterized as more suburban in feel. A couple of the more popular neighborhoods in the Shea Corridor are Sweetwater Ranch and Ancala Country Club
Downtown Scottsdale
Downtown Scottsdale, also known as Old Town Scottsdale is formed by a rectangle with Chaparral as its northern Boundary, Thomas Road to the south Miller Road to the east and 68th Street on the West. The real estate of downtown Scottsdale is comprised of everything from older single family homes to highrise condo living. With great shopping, dining and nightlife it is sure to please the urban dweller.

South Scottsdale
